There's always stuff going on around here!

Helisek Ringtones has now released:
Someday My Prince Will Come - The song from Snow White that became a jazz classic...
Bach's Prelude in C minor - Book 1 (which goes along nicely with the Fugue in C minor released a few weeks ago)
3 cues from the movie Vampire Rising
My Valentine, True Love (a sweet, romantic piano tune)

And on top of that, I am currently working on two John Rodby scores (I'm turning a handwritten score into computer notation for his publisher).

Thanks for listening,
Tim

Avant Garde and Michael Jackson

I have completed the first "phase" of my new avant garde orchestral work, which is untitled as of now. The first "phase" basically means all I have left to do is turn it into sheet music that musicians (and a conductor) will read.

In other news, I have released my orchestral cover of Michael Jackson's "Beat It" as a ringtone. It, as always, is available wherever ringtones are sold. To be honest, I never knew that Beat It could sound so epic until now!

Thanks for reading...
Tim

Fur Elise, Ars Moriendi, New Work...

Three things:

My ringtone, "Fur Elise" is currently number 3 on the Classical Ringtone Chart at iTunes.

My orchestral piece, "Ars Moriendi" received an Honorable Mention in the 2012 Minnesota Orchestra Composer Institute.

I released an EP back in October with three new electronic pieces of the 21st century classical style. It is available here http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/man-cannot-hit-on-right-time/id473817969

New Album!

As you can tell, I have completely neglected this portion of my website as it has not been updated since November of 2009. Time flies by me sometimes and this is what happens when it does. But, enough of that, I've released an album!

On January 25, 2011, ‘Animating Existence’ hit the ‘shelves’ of all your favorite digital download stores like iTunes, Amazon and eMusic. This work was written between May 2010 and January 2011 and clocks in at 51 minutes. It is a mixture of musique concréte, algorithmic composition and electroacoustic music. It is about 8 different major points in our lives and I hope that you will take some time to listen to it while contemplating these unique events.

An actual CD has been released as well. You may purchase the physical CD as well as the digital download here: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/timothyahelisek
